E-commerce Case Study Part 1
How we grew an e-commerce brand from 0 – $243.000 in sales in about 50 days by using purely paid traffic.
In late 2016 we grew a brand-new e-commerce brand from 0 – $243.000 in sales by using a combination of data, rapid testing & automation. Our task was to grow the customer base as quickly as possible while maintaining a profitable ROI. The traffic source of choice was Facebook. We ended the campaign with an overall ROAS of 4.87.
To grow their customer base from scratch we had to find a product in their inventory that was highly engaging and had a wide appeal so scalability would not be an issue.
We set up our rapid testing framework and tested about 13 products with Facebook Ads in the first week to find a promising product. We used a mix of video, images, prices and ad copy to see which product had potential. When we saw that our metrics were looking for this product strong we started testing a bunch of variations of the ads to find the most profitable.
We quickly found the perfect combination of product, video, ad copy and landing page we and started to scale slowly. After 40 days, we reached the peak before fulfillment issues started to come up so we had scale down the advertising budget.
Overal we generated them 10,100 orders from 9967 customers from 32 countries. So our mission succeeded.
